G'day.
For some reason I think this one worked really
well. Personally I thought the joke was fairly routine when I put
it down on paper, but once it was drawn up I found it seemed to
work so much better. I'm quite glad I kept it in and gave it a chance.
I think it's probably the way the boys seem to have just accepted
Wendy as one of their own and no longer recognise any real difference
in her.
Kid's do that. I know of one grade of little
kids who were learning about disabilities and it never occurred
to them that their mate in the wheelchair had one. He was just their
mate. Innocence is nice, eh?
When the site updates again, I'll be heading
off on the annual primary school music camp for the region. Yep.
I get to work on a Sunday next week with no further monetary incentive.
But I do get free meals for three days and save on petrol, so I
can see both sides. I won't be here for Tuesday's update as that
is the final day, but I'll be sure to have the blurb written for
then.
In the classroom we've just finished the
Grade Three testing we do each year for the Department. The kids
worked really hard yesterday and more than earnt the lolly snake
they got for reward. Lolly snakes are worth their weight in gold.
Thanks for all the positive responses to
the change to colour. Glad you all seem to like the shift. I've
enjoyed reading your feedback.
Cheers.
